Who We Are
MMT, also known as McKinnell McKinnell & Taylor Inc., is in its third generation of owners. The company was initially founded in 1963 on the South Shore of Boston, MA. We have a longstanding reputation for high quality work providing architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services throughout the Northeast. Over sixty years ago, our
predecessors instilled some very basic guiding principles to the way we provide these services today. Integrity in all our business activities is a paramount. Each project is handled with the same
care and attention to detail as if the project were our own. We attribute much of our success to repeat clients.
Architecture
Specializing in rehab, retrofit, repair, and restoration MMT has achieved award winning results. Through the study of existing buildings and designing for long standing clients, MMT has developed the knowledge to both restore existing and create new architecture that works within its context. We pay close attention to detail and treat every project with this same care.
Engineering
MMT has demonstrated its expertise on Engineering projects of many scopes and sizes for over four decades and has vast experience in providing efficient mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design in a variety of building types. MMT is an expert in engineering solutions in complex environments and energy-efficient systems that are practical to build as well as maintain.
Historic Restoration
MMT starts its historic work with a detailed review of the building and its history. Experts in historic materials and practices, we seek the most historically sensitive approach while incorporating modern products and techniques when appropriate.
Building Envelope
MMT’s knowledge of building envelopes has been developed over many years, on many building types, and on buildings dating from the nineteenth century to recent. We have expertise in careful examination, accurate detailing, and knowledge of historic and new building technologies that are required to make these projects successful.
