Responsibilities
Assist the senior electrical engineer and the design team in developing electrical construction documents (i.e. power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems) for commercial, light industrial, and multi-family residential projects.
Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
Produce Drawings using AutoCAD.
Create details, risers, and schedules for individual projects.
Perform construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review and project site visits.
Skills
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the area of building power distribution, lighting and controls, telecommunications, fire alarm and other systems.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Understanding of the National Electrical Code and other NFPA codes.
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in electrical design.
Job Requirements
Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel by car to multiple project sites.
Ability to climb ladders and crouch under obstacles.
